I reread it and now remember it. I see no statement in it that I am claiming that Madhava Gosh slaughtered cows in New Vrndavana. We are most interested in helping devotees and communities to rectify their cow protection programs if there is a problem, and unfortunately there are many cow protection programs where there were and continue to be serious problems. In light of the programs that we are now hearing reports about, New Vrndavana is becoming an example to such programs of how to rectify a bad situation. And this rectification is mostly being done by the very persons being accused of causing it. Having to deal with such problems for so many years with the leaders of such projects usually not interested in being accountable enough to start the process of rectification, we are naturally appreciative that we know of one place where rectification is taking place. This process should be encourged, not discouraged in the hope that other such projects will do the same and that Srila Prabhupada's vision of cow protectio will be begin to be established.
