Guest guest
All Vaisnava and aspiring Vaisnava devotees KALKI (Kanistha Antidefamation League of Krsnites Inc.) Re: What's up with running kanisthas down? Kanisthas are wonderful Kanisthas are cool If you don't like them You're simply a fool Why do you have to dis them And always run them down? They are still Krsna's devotees And what are you, you clown? You sound so terribly snobbish Like a kanistha can't help you As you keep hoping an uttama Will just pop out of the blue Okay they are not perfect They have got a way to go But at least they have gotten started So please don't consider them low You need to take what Krsna sends you To escape this Kali gloom Because remember KALKI is coming If you're still here that spells your doom To denigrate the neophytes Just because they are temple bound Remember KALKI is coming We think you'd rather not be found KALKI is coming KALKI is coming Oh yeah KALKI is coming KALKI knows what you've been doing So bad mouth kanisthas at your own risk I better stop this poem real soon before it takes up the whole disk
Guest guest
Madhava Gosh prabhu -- what a masterpiece! I daily walk over paths formerly trod by Hawthorne and Longfellow, but how can they hold a candle to our own varnasrama poet laureate! >; ) Anyway, kidding aside, the point is an excellent one. Let's recognize and appreciate -- even worship [vancha kalpa turubyas ca] -- the devotees we do have. Next quote we need to study is Srila Prabhupada's comments about "castor tree gurus." Anyone care to look that up. I think we could learn from it. your servant, Hare Krsna dasi P.S. In response to Janesvara prabhu's comments on the disqualifications of gurus who don't promote varnasrama: I worshipped three different devotees who were among the leading promoters of varnasrama in ISKCON. They all fell down in one way or another. In spite of their faults, I am eternally grateful to all of them, and I pray that Krsna will somehow help all of them progress on the spiritual path. And, I feel like they benefited me personally because they presented the example of attempting to fulfill the "impossible" challenge of varnasrama -- against all odds and against all indifference from devotees. All three of them pushed me further and further into studying Srila Prabhupada's varnasrama instructions because they constantly referred to his statements, without demanding glorification of themselves. So, by the time they left, I did have a pure devotee to guide me -- Srila Prabhupada. According to Srila Prabhupada's instructions, a devotee beginning in spiritual life needs to be connected to the line of disciplic succession by a living guru, "the current link" in disciplic succession. But by Krsna's special mercy, even if the current link we connect to should be overwhelmed by the forces of material nature, we can still take shelter by hearing from the Pure Devotee. We simply have to "hear" with our eyes. That is why Srila Prabhupada left so many books. Those books are our spiritual life insurance to take shelter of, in the event of calamities in the material world. ys hkdd "COM: Madhava Gosh (das) ACBSP (New Vrindavan - USA)" wrote: > [Text 2325954 from COM] > > All Vaisnava and aspiring Vaisnava devotees > KALKI (Kanistha Antidefamation League of Krsnites Inc.) > Re: What's up with running kanisthas down? > > Kanisthas are wonderful > Kanisthas are cool > If you don't like them > You're simply a fool > > Why do you have to dis them > And always run them down? > They are still Krsna's devotees > And what are you, you clown? > > You sound so terribly snobbish > Like a kanistha can't help you > As you keep hoping an uttama > Will just pop out of the blue > > Okay they are not perfect > They have got a way to go > But at least they have gotten started > So please don't consider them low > > You need to take what Krsna sends you > To escape this Kali gloom > Because remember KALKI is coming > If you're still here that spells your doom > > To denigrate the neophytes > Just because they are temple bound > Remember KALKI is coming > We think you'd rather not be found > > KALKI is coming > KALKI is coming > > Oh yeah > KALKI is coming > > KALKI knows what you've been doing > So bad mouth kanisthas at your own risk > I better stop this poem real soon > before it takes up the whole disk
