One unclear thing. Does the expression "revealed

scriptures" refers also to Srila Prabhupada's purports in

his books, his audio and video tapes, his letters and

conversations, other writings and works? I suppose - no.

 

But certainly, the point of apraching the pure devotee of

Krsna in order to learn from him about Krsna, is an undisputable

fact in any case. That's what Srila Prabhupada also tells us

on "every second" page of his books.

The same point as above, the usage of the term "scripture."

 

 

We have Srila Prabhupada's explanations of one such scripture.

The Bhagavad-gita As It IS. Prabhupada used to say how there have

been so many other editions of the same Bhagavad-gita, but none

was becoming a devotee of Krsna by reading it, nevertheless. But

his translations and purports were making so many devotees (I got

no Folio, maybe someone else could find the quote).

 

I remember myself also having some a copy of those "Gitas" in my

hands, but got no impression from it whatsoever. Just a piece of

cultural and classic literature, an Indian myth. However, after

coming to less than half of Srila Prabhupada's version, I quit all

my other engagements that I have had, and turn myself over to the

closest Hare Krsna temple in order to follow the path of bhakti-yoga.

 

 

As far as other different texts of scriptures are concerned

(besides Bhagavad-gita and Srimad-bhagavtam), I would say, yes,

we are yet to get to someone else than Prabhupada in order to

get reconciliation there. But for the sake of reconciling

Prabhupada's explanations of BG and SB...? At least, that is

not being covered here with the above quotes from Bhaktisiddhanta.

We got to get *someone's* reconciliations of sastric texts to be

clear to us, after all, on the bottom line.
