There are a number of leaders who are managing along principles that can be labeled VAD. In my opinion, it would appear that at the Bombay preaching center, for instance, there is much emphasis on establishing varna carears before ashrama, and the devotees are joining of a very high caliber. In any event, VAD principles are extremely important. But we already have many proven techniques for cultivating five year fanatics and I am not clear how a new brand of fanatical VAD will improve on those methods. > > Its funny but I suspect a lot of our ISKCON types are quite happy with the world as it is. I guess it would be true if our leaders don't surf the internet, pay attention to lawsuits in NA by ex-gurukulis, or in India by ritvik proponents, or need to worry about temple income/expense issues. Yes, there are plenty of problems challenging us, and our management stucture is obviously not beyond improvement. But to consider securing an ISKCON management position cures such things if at least on an individual level is a kinda a romper room perspective, in my opinion. ys, Sthita- 'the grass is always greener in management' dhi-muni
