This I also agree with to some extent. Some can take care of their own

spiritual and material lives, but others cannot or SHOULD not have to. That is

the meaning of leaders; they protect the innocent and weaker or less

intelligent or otherwise less qualified classes of humans/living beings under

their charge.

 

This means instituting varnasrama-dharma which is the ONLY authorized social

system which can help all humans develop their spiritual and material lives

into parallel paths of the highest success - love of God. Righteous leaders

MUST do this or they are cheating their citizens and both will suffer the

consequences.

 

It is not a cop-out to expect leaders to implement varnasrama-dharma; it is

their JOB. Apathy will get us no where.
