Therefore, Srila Prabhupada states herein that one > should accept such a preacher Vaisnava as a spiritual master. > > Any sincere and non-envious person who comes across the above mentioned > six symptoms of the uttama-adhikari (collected from the purport) will be > able to [know?], (this word was missing in the original text and substituted by Jd) that there are many such souls in Srila Prabhupada's Krsna > consciousness movement (ISKCON). Such souls have to [be] recognized as "highly > advanced devotees", "advanced devotees", "maha-bhagavatas" and > uttama-adhikaris. So, does this mean Ramesvara, Bhagavan, Harikesha, Kirtanananda, Jayatirtha, BHAVANANDA and Hamsadutta were (are?) actually maha-bhagavata uttama-adhikari's and we just didn't realize it? They were all at one time perfect examples of all those symtoms you so voluminously pointed out. And there have been many many others who showed those "symptoms" but are now engaged "elsewise". Does this mean that we should understand that uttama-adhikari maha-bhagavatas fall down regularly? How is one to discern when it is show-bottle spiritualism or uttama-adhikari? Srila Prabhupada said the sahajiyas also have the beads and symptoms but certainly they are not to be accepted as uttamas? Not that we have sahajiyas in ISKCON (or maybe we do?) but one must discern from some other perspectives also, I would think. I believe there are quite a few other references to what a maha-bhagavata uttama adhikari is. One goes along the lines of, "he is 100% Krsna conscious and completely free from material contamination". You mention that there are many such devotees in ISKCON. How wonderful! What are their names please? Their names should be posted on all Vaisnava publications in order that all prospective and existing disciples can take advantage of their association. Please provide this list as soon as possible. Indeed, the whole world should be advised of these Prabhus and their accomplishments should be made public in order to convince everyone of their purity. One question, Srila Prabhupada ordered his senior disciples 25 years ago to implement varnasrama-dharma within his movement, dividing all devotees into the four varnas in accordance with their respective guna and karma. He said this was the most auspicious program for the movement and the world. He also stated that the one thing he wished he had fulfilled before he "left" was the implementation of varnasrama-dharma in ISKCON. He also said he had completed half his mission and the other half, varnasrama-dharma implementation, was left for us to complete. Have these uttama-adhikaris in ISKCON, which you say there are many of, fulfilled these orders of their guru maharaja significantly during this past quarter century? Surely an uttama-adhikari maha-bhagavata would make such preaching programs held in such priority esteem by another uttama-adhikari and their own spiritual master, as priority number one programs, wouldn't they? yfs, Janesvara dasa
