Prabhu, the answer is contain in your question. By the

very usage of condition "if", you have indicated that the

acceptance of Vijay's conclusions as the right ones is also

conditional.

 

Just look in OED what the possible meanings of "if" are given

there. So "if" he is right then he is right, and "if" he is not

right then he is not. Now question us why not to accept Vijay's

conclusions.
