Guest guest
Dear Ajamila Prabhu, Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. I received two messages from you urging everyone to vote against the rittviks in Chakra. Although no one can call me a "rittvik" I cannot cast the vote that you requested because it would mean an implicit support for ISKCON's status quo. I already had an exchange with you in this regard. As far as I am concerned the rittvik "menace" and many other problems that the Society is currently facing are simply the byproduct of a series of terribly mistaken policies and the abuses at the highest levels of ISKCON. These problems continue to this day. You can go on forever fighting against the consequences but you won't succeed until you start focusing on the causes. You should concentrate in fighting the corruption and incompetency that cronically affect the top leadership of the Movement, with the same seal that you have shown so far in your crusade against the rittviks. Srila Prabhupada clearly pointed out that this Movement could not be harmed by any external influence but only from the weaknesses within. Here in Mexico we are in the middle of a case to bring to justice the local GBC who is also a guru, and who happens to have committed felonies and misrepresented Srila Prabhupada and his teachings by his misguided behaviour. If the top leaders of the Movement are involved in criminal activities, abuse their position and are completly incompetent while proclaming themselves to be Srila Prabhupada's bonafide representatives and saviours of the conditioned souls, then many devotees will reject their leadership. So if you really want to help ISKCON you have to go to the top and start a program to erradicate the cause of so many problems. Guest guest
>The purpose of this voting exercise is to understand the extent to >which the poisonous ritvik idea has infiltrated ISKCON and subsequently >make plans to better educate our devotees. So please register your vote now. If this was the purpose of the poll, we should have asked if our readers believe in the ritvik or the current guru position - not who "won". The way the question is currently worded, we will not get the answer you seek. In fact, neither question will provide such an asnwer, as the poll is open to all readers, not just to ISKCON devotees. Ys, Madhusudani dasi Thats interesting - I thought you work as a team... ys Harsi das

Vipramukhya Swami was in charge of the poll. Maharaja preferred to stay out of the debate, due to his being a defendent in the Calcutta law suit (all gurus are). However, on other Chakra issues he and I work more closely together. Hope that clarifies things. Ys, Madhusudani dasi
