So I am not presenting these points simply to refute someone else's point. I am just proposing that all such statement should be taken into account in order to get a balanced perspective on Prabhupada's vision of Krsna consciousness. Even demons can be expert in the Vedic arts, as per the example of Hiranyakasipu, Duryondhana and Jarasandha. Hiranyakasipu expressed many elevated philosophical sentiments when counseling his mother over the death of Hiranyaksa, while Jarasandha was known to be expert at pleasing the brahmanas. It was said that the citizens of Hastinapura felt very satisfied under the care of Duryodhana. The real gift of the Vaisnavas is not that they know the scienc of human civilization, but that they know how to engage the science of human civilization in Krsna's service. This, in my mind, is the value of our VAD philosophy. These energy's are already eternally preasant, but it is the duty of the Vaisnava's, or more generally the brahminical class, to guide them with Krsna's satisfaction in mind. .. ..
