Most members of any society are just going along for the ride. In other words, we can expect that most people will follow VAD because that is the culture they grew up with. It is the spiritual leaders of society that guide the parade in the appropriate direction. Again, without a viable, dynamic brahminical sub-culture, our VAD will simply become another flavor of ordinary human culture. As Janesh already pointed out -- the 4 orders, or general categories of human endeavor, are always present in every society. It is the duty of the Vaisnvas to direct that energy in an auspicious direction. ys, Sthita
