I am not talking about congregational members. As I have mentioned before, many many times, I feel that for many existing devotees, congregational, temple or otherwise, things may be too late to change, and that is that, what can be done. If they are happy and doing some service, then that is wonderful, let them get on with it. Each and every individual has his individual choices in life. I am talking about setting up a system that allows young people to grow up acording to their nature, in the way Srila Prabhupada suggests will be good for them. Sumitra Mataji earlier suggested that we should not worry about trying to convince the GBC or leaders to start Varnasrama, we can do it ourselves. I agree with that, and am trying to do something in that way. But at the same time, I can see that with the assets ISKCON has, temples lands etc, if the will was there, so much more could be done, than can be done by individuals starting from scratch. This is Srila Prabhupadas society, after all, so should not Srila Prabhupadas instructions to introduce varnasram colleges be followed? For the sake of millions of young people, including our own children? Why should kids be forced to study in schools Srila Prabhupada called slaughterhouses, where they are forced into submission, and their intrinsic natures are crushed? Our Glorious founder acarya has a vision to save them, using this movement. We can take steps today to start that. > > In the Bombay the congregation and the temple residents are > closely related and support each other. They seem to not > have any reason to go cursing the ISCKON leaders for > not supplying them with some varnasrma college, or with > VAD system itself. Of course they dont. But they might like the idea of a place where their children can learn how to make a living, based on spiritual principles, where the association is good (providing they arent molested of course). They apparently use their own brains > in how to conduct their lifes, both materially and spiritually. > They don't sit down and dream "a bit like Caitanya Mahaprabhu, > teaching grammar using KC analogies". Best not to use your own brain, if it means speculating. Best to find a bonafide guru, and follow his instructions. > > It might take a life, maybe more, so the compassionate sadhu, Srila > > Prabhupada has requested us to start varnasrama colleges, to bring > > people to the mode of goddness, by engaging them properly, so that > > eventualy they will be prepared to pass the great tests, that we all > > have to take so escape from this material world > > Come'n, this is supposed to be Janesvara's melody, not yours. > Yours is "We got to pray God to send us a pure mahabhagavata, > that's our only hope for going back to Godhead". What happened? Oooooh! You meany!, but I knew you'd go for it. Srila Prabhupada is the founder Acarya of ISKCON, Lord Chaitanyas International Sankirtana movement. His books are the law books for the next ten thousand years. I would expect that any pure devotee who came along, being a humble and blissful soul, would have no problem at all, in trying to implement Srila Prabhupadas desires. I mean, what would please Krsna more than that? > > > (please none asks me a kind of stupid questions wether I got > here something against varnasrama colleges and VAD) You say this (above), and then you say this: > In the Bombay the congregation and the temple residents are > closely related and support each other. They seem to not > have any reason to go cursing the ISCKON leaders for > not supplying them with some varnasrma college, or with > VAD system itself. You write line, after line of text refuting arguments that support the varnasrama colleges, and VAD then you ask us to suspend any beleif we may have that you are not into them? Cmon... Thats what I call lack of a concrete discussion. YS
