I for one would love to know who is out there doing something. Sounds

like you are on the ball. There are several people in the Boston area that I

know of that are out there doing and or trying to do. Keep up the good work.

You are very kind, but I think it is more accurate to say I'm 'under the

ball' running to keep from getting crushed. ;-}

Would you be so kind as to tell me who are those people here in Boston? I

have only been back here for a few shorts months and don't plan on staying.

It would be nice to talk with someone personally about this before I have to

leave. Perhaps you can reply in private email, if that is better.

Thank you for your encouragement!

Dear bhaktin Bev,

Please accept my greetings. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

The attached *partial* list of both Farm Projects and of Contact

Persons (with e-mail addresses) should help in your project (and by the way

it is a very good one, a much need one).

I had started compiling this information in the early part of this

year as a member of the North American Y2K committee. Far various reasons

(mainly the committee fizzled out so to speak... although I must say all

the members on that committee are very active individually) and thus this

particular work had discontinued. At the time I was in the process of

contacting all those responsible for farm projects to conduct a *Global

Farm Survey* (I can send you a copy if you like).

I might suggest to Samba prabhu that this kind of work is something

that needs to be taken up and followed through by some official ISKCON

representative. Possibly it could be our Ministry of Agriculture or some

other related Ministry? Any suggestions?

I am sure there are corrections to be brought and names to be

added. But at least it can be a good start. Many addresses are in the

current BTG. I did not include all of them.

I hope this is helpful.

Your well-wisher,

Bhakti Raghava Swami

Dear Bahkti Raghava Swami Maharaja,

Please accept my most humble and insignificant obeisances. All Glories to

Srila Prabhupada!!

> The attached

> *partial* list of both Farm Projects and of Contact Persons (with e-mail

> addresses) should help in your project (and by the way it is a very good

> one, a much need one).

Thank you so very much Maharaj!! This list has eliminated several weeks of

information gathering and updating, I am sure. I had just started listing

the farm communities from BTG, so this is much more than a 'help'.

> At the time I was in the process of

> contacting all those responsible for farm projects to conduct a *Global

> Farm Survey* (I can send you a copy if you like).

Yes, please send me a copy. I am sure it will make the contacting process

much easier.

> I might suggest to Samba prabhu that this kind of work is something that

> needs to be taken up and followed through by some official ISKCON

In my humble opinion, you are completely correct, Maharaj. It would be my

duty and honor to offer any list or other information I may gather to the

appropriate ISKCON official.

Yes, Maharaja, it is extremely helpful as a head start to the project and as

great encouragement to motivate my efforts. Please accept my humble

gratitude and appreciation.

I am noticing Nityo dita listed as contact at New Vrindaban. He has no

interest

in VAD and I would say practically he works against it in favor of tourism and

establishing suburban lifestyle.

Point is some sort of rating system or degree of interest should be noted so

someone doesn't waste time exploring moving to a community that is simply a

country home for suburbanites.

Shortly you should receive a prompt from Mydocsonline, there I have posted the

listing of the Cow Ministry.

Finally, a varna I qualify for, i.e. "the suburbanites destined for

country-homes"-varna. But only if it comes with a gardener, cause I'm

hopeless with plants. Please send me the list of all such communities asap.

Take my name from New Nandagrama as I have moved to New Govardhana. New

Nandagrama has two families on it at the moment and one is leaving soon. It

is intended to be used by Melbourne Temple for seminars etc. Another

opportunity to develop varnasrama lost for the moment.

Your servant, Gokula das.

When I joined ISKCON, they was 600,000 dairy farms in USA. Now they are

130,000. We are swimming against the tide.

If we wish Varnasrama dharma to become established then we have to discover

the means to change the direction the tide is going. Murari Sevak in Tennessee

is almost closing the cows will be sent away and indidual householders without

cows are few.
