Could you explain to me a little bit how do you think such a thing could posible work in our present circumstances in the society? Do we all have to become vaisyas and live off the land like Nanda Maharaja at Gokula? What is wrong with a job to maintain your family ,acording to your inclinations (varna)? > Automatically one comes to the mode of goodness, and pleases Krsna by this > occupation. Let them come to our farms" Who will maintain them? How should they maintain themselves? Are there services acording to the four varnas in our farms? No, that is unrealistic. But we do all need to support vaisyas who are living off the land. That is the team spirit. And only as a vaisya? I suspect we will see many projects arising in concert with ISKCON, and not necessarily under the direct supervision of it. Actually, according to the Gita, being a vaisya is mixed modes - but we can move beyond that designation as Vaisnavas and come to the mode of goodness in any varna, if we take shelter of Krsna. > > > > Therefore Srila Prabhupada said of materially attached householders, "Let > > them remain grhamedhi. As of yet, the fully manifest farm with mature society of 4 varnas is just now coming.
