I agree. Due process is critical in these kinds of allegations. The response to cow abuse should be much the same as in child abuse. But as in child abuse cases, the rules needs to be followed to protect the innocent on both sides. Not only should perpetrators be treated humanely, but the perpetrators may not be perpetrators. They could be victims. Even as perpetrators, they need not be stoned. The jury can present it's findings and sentence at the appropriate time and in the appropriate manner. "Allegations of Animal Slaughter at Iskcon Murari Sevaka" is a good study of what NOT to do and is an abuse of the public forum.
