Dear Bhagavat Purana Prabhu: PAMHO. Thank you very much for your comment. I had hoped that someone would bring this up. This problem is not only an "ashrama problem" but a "guru problem" and a "leadership problem" too. That is why I thought that it was important to bring it up in the manner that I did. And although both our cases seem similar there are serious differences: 1. This case involves sexual misconduct with those directly under the spiritual guidance of Bhakti Abhay Charan, which to me is abominable as I think that there are degrees of misconduct. 2. Although I was also a guru, I had only a couple of disciples which I had initiated in 1985. I turned away dozens of candidates that came later because I thought that the whole guru thing was a hoax (the Ramesvara, Bhagavan, Bhavananda, etc., cases began unfolding and Jayatirtha was just getting his head chopped-off). On the other hand, my sources state that Bhakti Abhay Charan wants to continue as spiritual guide with a temporary suspension for initiations. My feeling is that such arrangement is also a hoax, as have been other arrangements with other individuals. 3. When I gave up being a sannyasi I simply became a regular guy. The idea of turning fallen sannyasis into "vanaprasthas" is a mockery because vanaprastha is an institution as exalted as sannyasa. 4. It is important to notice how the GBC is not actively training local devotees to become leaders of their yatras. They keep relying on the same imported old fellows at the expense of all the instructions that Srila Prabhupada gave concerning the formation of leaders. 5. Times have changed. The internet has appeared and also ISKCON is in a much more evident crisis. Thus, the availability of information has expa nded and allows us to share our points better at a moment in which is more needed. 6. When I had "my problem" there were a lot of "unkind" remarks made. And you know what? The people who made them were right. Your servant Radha Krsna dasa Mexico City
