sorry to interrupt but imho there seems to be a genuine confusion among many

practitioners of KC in ISKCON about karma (action), karma-phala

(reaction/result) and the free will of individuals. Obviously I am not the

knower of it either but I want to say something about it.

 

making it short and taking the above example, it's true that the child abuse

was vikarma and the court case against it a vikarmic reaction, but the

reason why devotees shouldn't take shelter of courts is a question of

utilising thier free will. If some devotees go to court it may not be

something new they will create since by the law of nature some reaction of

the child abuse may be already due by this time, but the point is Krishna

devotees can use their free will, avoide going to court, and let the nature

find its own way to bring out the reaction of the vikarma committed by some

people. This way they will be able to avoid becoming servants of material

nature and push themselves more towards becoming servants of Lord Krishna.

This is the point.

 

now someone may argue that "but material nature is also working under Lord

Krishna's direction and so why not help her (servant of the servant)"? Fine,

then you may want to go ahead, but Lord Krishna Doesn't recommend it. He

says that by surrendering unto Him, by becoming His servant, we can overcome

the material nature, His daivi maya. So He recognises the material nature as

something His servants should overcome. Now it's upto us who we want to work

for.
