Sorry for the long answer, there are SP quotes. I hope these are enough,

even these are not ALL.

1- Getting remarried. Srila Prabhupda said NO. But there are lots of

devotees that have divorce and married again between them

[Text 1957829 from COM]

Letter to: Silavati New Vrindaban 14 June, 1969

My Dear Silavati,

Please accept my blessings. I thank you very much for your letter dated

June, 1969, and I have carefully noted the contents therein. Regarding the

suggestion that you remarry, I have never suggested such thing, so you need

not trouble yourself with this. As I have told you in Los Angeles, I wish

that the mother's who have no husband at present should not remarry, but

should dedicate their time to seeing that their children are brought up

very nicely in Krishna Consciousness.

Letter to: Rupanuga: New Delhi 21 August, 1975

Regarding remarriage, no, remarriage should be always discouraged.

Remarriage means encouraging sense gratification. Our mission is to curtail

sense gratification. Three times marrying in a year, this is not good, and

they are doing this.

Letter to: Bhagavan: Vrindaban 7 September, 1975

Within the Society only one marriage can be allowed.

I thought these boys and girls will be married and be happy. But, I see

that they are not satisfied. In the Western countries they are trained up

in a different way. Jumping from one to another. Another wife, another

husband. This is the disease all over the world. Simply by agreement, then

cancelled, then another agreement...Nor can women with child strictly she

cannot marry again.

Letter to: Anangamanjari New York 19 July, 1976

It is not advisable to marry again as this may disturb your former husband

who is now engaged in preaching activities. So rather you can come here to

New York where your service will be appreciated and there is very nice

association with so many nice girls.

SB 7.11.28

Giving up the association of her husband does not mean, however, that a

woman should marry again and thus indulge in prostitution.

Room Conversation September 6, 1976, Vrndavana

So if we request the government, "Let us open this brahmacari..." They'll

not help. But they'll make the other propaganda. They'll make contraceptive

method, and naturally one Hindu widow is trained up not to marry again.

Once she got a husband, that's all right. Now you convert your, you divert

your attention to Krsna. They'll make propaganda. "Why stop her sense

gratification? Let her marry again, widow marriage." Why widow marriage? If

there is voluntarily giving up begetting any more child, to avoid husband,

why the widow marriage bill is introduced? Everything was natural,

brahmacäré. The sterilization is already there. That will not be accepted.

Widow, she's remaining refrained from.

Now, by nature, according to Vedic civilization, that... Vedic civilization

is natural life. It is not something artificial or irresponsible life. That

is Vedic civilization. Vedic means full of knowledge, life with full of

knowledge. That is called Vedic civilization. It is not a particular type

of... With full of knowledge. So in the Vedic civilization a woman, if she

has no child or son or daughter, she can marry for the second time.

Otherwise, she will be enemy of the child. This is practical. If a woman

has got child and again she marries, that means voluntarily she becomes

enemy of his child. Therefore Cäëakya Paëòita says, mata satru dvi cariné.

åna-kartä pitä çatrur

mata satrur dvicarini

rupavati bharya satruù

putrah satrur apaëòitaù

His moral instruction. Çatruù means enemy. Now, who are enemies within our

family? Outside enemies, that is not very... That is natural. Everyone is

enemy of the other man. But within the family, if we live with enemies,

that is very difficult. So how enemies, who are enemies? That he has

described: åna-karta pita satruù. If the father is a great debtor, then he

is enemy. Because people will criticize, "Oh, your father has taken so much

money, so much credit. Why he is not paying? Why don't you...?" So he is

enemy. Åna-karta pita satrur. And according to Manu-saàhitä law, if he does

not inherit even a farthing from his father, and if his father dies debtor,

then the son has to pay it. Because son inherits the property of the

father, so he is responsible for the father's debt. Never mind he has got

anything from the father or not. Therefore it is said, åna-karta pita

satruù: "A father who dies a debtor, then he is enemy." And mätä satrur

dhicarini: "Mother, if in the presence of his son marries again, she is

enemy. She is enemy." Åna-karta pita satrur mata satrur dhicarini.

Dhicarini means in the presence of children-one or two, it doesn't

matter-she becomes enemy. (SB 6.1.12 Los Angeles, June 25, 1975)

In family life a man is supposed to live happily with father, mother, wife

and children, but sometimes, under certain conditions, a father, mother,

child or wife becomes an enemy. It is said by Canakya Pandita that a father

is an enemy when he is too much in debt, a mother is an enemy if she

marries for a second time, a wife is an enemy when she is very beautiful,

and a son is an enemy when he is a foolish rascal. In this way, when a

family member becomes an enemy it is very difficult to live in family life

or remain a householder. Generally such situations occur in the material

world. Therefore according to Vedic culture one has to take leave of his

family members just after his fiftieth year so that the balance of his life

may be completely devoted in search of Krsna consciousness.( SB 4.13.21)

To have very charming wife is not very good. And in your country you have

got all charming wife. Canakya Pandita says that there are four kinds of

enemies in family life. These are very experienced version. He says, mata

satru. In family means we live with father, mother, wife, children. This is

family. In your country family does not mean father-mother, only wife and

children. But in our country, according to Vedic civilization, family is a

large conception. Father, mother, brother, sister, sister's son, brother's

son. If there are difficulty, one has to su... So on the whole, father,

mother, wife and children, consisting of, family.

Now Canakya Pandita says, "In the family there are enemies." How? Åëa-karta

pita satruù. Canakya Pandita said, "A father who is a great debtor, he is

enemy." Because the son inherits the money of the father, similarly, the

law is that if the father dies a debtor, the son becomes responsible to pay

the debts. That is the law, Manu-samhita. I do not know what is the law

here. I don't think the son is responsible for paying the debts of father,

but in India that is the law. One big barrister, Mr. C. R. Das, his father

died insolvent, making debts. So when he became very rich, he called all

the creditors and paid five to five, that "My father was debtor. You take

this money." That is obligation. Therefore Cäëakya Paëòita says, "The

father who dies a debtor, he is an enemy." Åëa-kartä pitä çatruù. Åëa means

debts. Kartä means one who has committed so many debts and dies. A

father... Instead of enjoying father's property, he has to pay the father's

debts. So therefore that father is called enemy. Åëa-kartä pitä çatrur mata

satrur vyabhicarini. "And mother, if she marries for the second time, she

is enemy." Åëa-karta pita satrur mata satrur vyabhicariëi, rupavati bharyaù

satruù. "And very beautiful wife, she is enemy." And putraù satrur

apaëòitaù. "And if the son is a fool, rascal, he is enemy." Four kinds of

enemy in the family. (SB 1.3.17 Los Angeles, September 22, 1972)

2- Some places had neglect protecting cows.

So in this movement, our one program is to respect the cows. We chant this

mantra, namo brahmanya-devaya

go-brahmana-hitaya ca. The brahminical culture and the cows... Why they

have selected the cows? There are so

many animals. Why cow protection is so important in Krsna consciousness?

Why Krsna personally Himself

became a cowherd boy and was taking the care of the cows and the calves?

Oh, that is very essential.

3- ASSOCIATION BETWEEN MEN AND WOMEN,

You leaders see that the Krsna Conscious standards in regard to initiation,

cleanliness, dress and activities of the devotees, THE RESTRICTION OF

ASSOCIATION BETWEEN MEN AND WOMEN, all be strictly followed. Devotional

service cannot be done whimsically.

Letter to: Madhavananda, 1 January, 1974

The injunction restricting association with women is the basic principle of

spiritual life.

4- ILLICIT SEX

''Therefore every civilized society has got a type of religion to become

purified so that he can understand God. Without being purified, how it is

possible? That is not possible. So at least these things should be accepted

as

they are in the Bible, "Thou shalt not kill. Thou shalt not covet." Illicit

sex life, intoxication, and killing of animals. These are in the Bible. Why

they are not accepted? This is not our impositions. This is already there.

Srimad Bhagavatam 6.1. 52

mithuna-vyavaya-dharmas tvam

praja-sargam imam punah

mithuna-vyavaya-dharminyam

bhuriso bhavayisyasi

mithuna--of man and woman; vyavaya--sexual activities; dharmah--who accepts

by

religious performance; tvam--you; praja-sargam--creation of living

entities;

imam--this; punah--again; mithuna--of man and woman united;

vyavaya-dharminyam--in her according to the religious performance of sexual

intercourse; bhurisah--manifold; bhavayisyasi--you will cause to be.

TRANSLATION

Now unite in sexual life as man and woman, and in this way, by sexual

intercourse, you will be able to beget hundreds of children in the womb of

this girl to increase the population.

PURPORT

The Lord says in Bhagavad-gita (7.11), dhama aviruddho bhutesu kamo

'smi:

"I am sex that is not contrary to religious principles." Sexual intercourse

ordained by the Supreme Personality of Godhead is dharma, a religious

principle, but it is not intended for sense enjoyment. Indulgence in sense

enjoyment through sexual intercourse is not allowed by the Vedic

principles.

One may follow the natural tendency for sex life only to beget children.

Therefore the Lord told Daksa in this verse, "This girl is offered to you

only

for sex life to beget children, not for any other purpose. She is very

fertile, and therefore you will be able to have as many children as you can

beget."

Srila Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura remarks in this connection that Daksa

was given the facility for unlimited sexual intercourse. In Daksa's

previous

life he was also known as Daksa, but in the course of performing sacrifices

he

offended Lord Siva, and thus his head was replaced with that of a goat.

Then

Daksa gave up his life because of his degraded condition, but because he

maintained the same unlimited sexual desires, he underwent austerities by

which he satisfied the Supreme Lord, who then gave him unlimited potency

for

sexual intercourse.

It should be noted that although such a facility for sexual

intercourse

is achieved by the grace of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, this

facility

is not offered to advanced devotees, who are free from material desires

(anyabhilasita-sunyam). In this connection it may be noted that if the

American boys and girls engaged in the Krsna consciousness movement want to

advance in Krsna consciousness to achieve the supreme benefit of loving

service to the Lord, they should refrain from indulging in this facility

for

sex life. Therefore we advise that one should at least refrain from illicit

sex. Even if there are opportunities for sex life, one should voluntarily

accept the limitation of having sex only for progeny, not for any other

purpose. Kardama Muni was also given the facility for sex life, but he had

only a slight desire for it. Therefore after begetting children in the womb

of

Devahuti, Kardama Muni became completely renounced. The purport is that if

one

wants to return home, back to Godhead, one should voluntarily refrain from

sex

life. Sex should be accepted only as much as needed, not unlimitedly.

One should not think that Daksa received the favor of the Lord by

receiving the facilities for unlimited sex. Later verses will reveal that

Daksa again committed an offense, this time at the lotus feet of Narada.

Therefore although sex life is the topmost enjoyment in the material world

and

although one may have an opportunity for sexual enjoyment by the grace of

God,

this entails a risk of committing offenses. Daksa was open to such

offenses,

and therefore, strictly speaking, he was not actually favored by the

Supreme

Lord. One should not seek the favor of the Lord for unlimited potency in

sex

life.

Srimad-Bhagavatam Canto 3: Chapter Thirty, Text 28 :TRANSLATION

TRANSLATION

Men and women whose lives were built upon indulgence in illicit sex

life

are put into many kinds of miserable conditions in the hells known as

Tamisra,

Andha-tamisra and Raurava.

Srimad-Bhagavatam Canto 3: Chapter Thirty, Text 28 :PURPORT

PURPORT

Materialistic life is based on sex life. The existence of all the

materialistic people, who are undergoing severe tribulation in the struggle

for existence, is based on sex. Therefore, in the Vedic civilization sex

life

is allowed only in a restricted way; it is for the married couple and only

for

begetting children. But when sex life is indulged in for sense

gratification

illegally and illicitly, both the man and the woman await severe punishment

in

this world or after death. In this world also they are punished by virulent

diseases like syphilis and gonorrhea, and in the next life, as we see in

this

passage of Srimad-Bhagavatam, they are put into different kinds of hellish

conditions to suffer. In Bhagavad-gita, First Chapter, illicit sex life is

also very much condemned, and it is said that one who produces children by

illicit sex life is sent to hell. It is confirmed here in the Bhagavatam

that

such offenders are put into hellish conditions of life in Tamisra,

Andha-tamisra and Raurava

© 1991 by Bhaktivedanta Book Trust

illicit sex must be stopped by those who are spiritually inclined or who

are

on the path of spiritual realization. Many devotees fall down due to

illicit

sex. They may steal money and even fall down from the highly honored

renounced

order. Then for a livelihood they accept menial services and become

beggars.

It is therefore said in the sastras, yan maithunadi-grhamedhi-sukham hi

tuccham: materialism is based on sex, whether licit or illicit. Sex is full

of

dangers even for those who are addicted to household life. Whether one has

a

license for sex or not, there is great trouble. Bahu-duhkha-bhak: after one

indulges in sex, many volumes of miseries ensue. One suffers more and more

in

material life

5- Protection of the women and children

Some women in ISKCON are working to get independance. this is against

"protection" and all of us know that kids had been abused.

PURPORT

In the glorious days, or before the advent of the age of Kali, the

brahmanas,

the cows, the women, the children and the old men were properly given

protection.

1. The protection of the brahmanas maintains the institution of varna and

asrama, the most scientific culture for attainment of spiritual life.

2. The protection of cows maintains the most miraculous form of food, i.e.,

milk for maintaining the finer tissues of the brain for understanding

higher

aims of life.

3. The protection of women maintains the chastity of society, by which we

can

get a good generation for peace, tranquillity and progress of life.

4. The protection of children gives the human form of life its best chance

to

prepare the way of liberty from material bondage. Such protection of

children

begins from the very day of begetting a child by the purificatory process

of

garbhadhana-samskara, the beginning of pure life.

5. The protection of the old men gives them a chance to prepare themselves

for

better life after death.

This complete outlook is based on factors leading to successful humanity as

against the civilization of polished cats and dogs. The killing of the

above-mentioned innocent creatures is totally forbidden because even by

insulting them one loses one's duration of life. In the age of Kali they

are

not properly protected, and therefore the duration of life of the present

generation has shortened considerably.

22. There cannot be equality, sir. You are talking nonsense. (Morning Walk:

Rome, 5/29/74)

23. Equal rights is an artificial introduction to human society. (Bertrand

Russell)

24. Equal rights is rascaldom philosophy. (Morning Walk: Rome, 5/29/74)

25. It is already failure.(Arrival Lecture: Philadelphia, 7/11/75)

26. Equal rights is impossible (Cc. Adi. 17.44)

7- There are so many interpretations to what SP said, that even some

devotees are thinking on changing SP's books.

One who understands and appreciates the disciplic succession is certainly

advanced, and we should always be very careful to give full respect to

those

who have so carefully handled this Divine Fruit of transcendental knowledge

before us. Even a slight change will spoil it. That is why I have always

been so careful to give you only those things which I have heard from my

Guru Maharaja.
