Guest guest
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. > One may have the best model car, but if the driver is insane, intoxicated, > incompetent, etc., then the result is bound to be inferior. The fault lies > with the driver, not the vehicle. Srila Prabhupada has given us the > superior model for educating our children. Now it is still our duty as his > followers to implement that system according to his instructions. Srila Prabhupada gave some guidelines, he left it to us to use our intelligence how to make it. In regard to the example of the car, it is very difficult to build a car simply from instructions or a model if you are not an motor mechanic. Now I am not saying that Srila Prabhupada was not able to do it, but he had another role. He is the founderacarya of ISKCON and he gave the governing principles, how could he go into all the details of all the different departments in so short time? "It is not possible for me to tax my brain on every detail. The GBC should meet in Mayapur in March and all details of management should be discussed. My inclination is to retire completely from management and devote my time to my books. Let all of you give me this chance and consult amongst yourselves regarding the management."(SPL to Mohanananda dasa.1973) "So I can give you suggestions how to manage everything, but it is up to the GBC to practically execute all these points." (SPL to Jayatirtha 1976) "The whole world is misled. You must apply your brains how to spread Krsna consciousness. I am an old man, I can give you the idea, now you have to carry it out." (SPL to Jagadisa dasa, 1975) With levelheaded, qualified and good educated people there is a much better chance of establishing a good working society. Because without the basis, meaning a place to stay, something to eat , helpfull mental environment, with other words, A JOB, how can we progress? Thats where many of us are at. If we are not so fortunate to have expert-devotees to learn our occupational duties from, we have to learn from not yet devotees. In that way we will sooner or later get expert-devotees to learn from and we will also be engaging the not yet´s in devotional service. Regarding the girls education I just read the following: " Some of the girls may be trained in colleges and take teacher exams, and their husbands also."(SPL to Satsvarupa, November 25th, 1971) Your servant Gunamani d.d.
