Guest guest
I don't think that anyone would argue against your premise in this posting. Many are not coming up to the standard. I would think that is inarguable. So we can see we have a problem here. In troubleshooting, my understanding is that the first step is to find out the problem. So we can see that by your criticism of the GBC and sanyasis, that you are agreeing that the standard to be followed for our movement is that set by Srila Prabhupada. So if we are going to fix things, then let us go back and find out what Prabhupada had to say about these issues. Then let us decide how to get there. Together! > Wandering mendicant? Do you remember the story of Jiva Goswami when he defeats the pundit? He was severely chastised by his guru. It is said that you don't feed an unwanted guest, especially if he thinks that women (smart indeed in your case) "like to be rapped". Is he unwanted? I mean from the quote you gave. Because another consideration, since you are "a bona fide preacher", is that you cannot make "a material distinction" and consider your "humble" interlocutor as "lowly". After all, he is a preacher of the International Society of Krisna Consciousness. Watch yourself, it's a dangerous place! Ksurasya dhara nisita duratyaya durgam pathas tat kavayo vadanti The path of sp realization is very difficult. It is sharp like a razor's edge. (from the katha Up.) In conclusion, also Rupa was angry with Jiva, the vaisnavas enjoyed the victorious stand of Jiva Goswami, up to now. You are great!
