In fact, I didn't even notice it was used so extensively until it was brought up. I also cannot agree that its use is abnormal. If I refer to you as Prabhu several times in a text, I don't think I should be villified as being abnormal. In the course of this discussion, I don't see picking up on such points to be central to the discussion. It would likely be more of an expression of emotions against someone who is challenging one's beliefs or values.
