A "somewhat preferential treatment of sannyasis" can be very easily ensured by the side of the temple management without getting in war with the temple Vaisnavis. There are not hundreds of sannyasis there, are they? Let the men side give that "somewhat preferential treatment" to those few sannyasis, Why don't you get on the case of men for not providing that "somewhat preferential treatement" to sannyasis, in form of sufficient space (whatever this "sufficient" might be, 1 squer meatar per sannyasi, or whatever). WHY always you get on the case of *ladies* for your own falure?? Isn't it a bizarre situation? Sannyasis got to be fighting with the ladies-Vaisnavis for their fair share of the "territory" infront of Krsna's altar!? That's the picture you are depicting. I mean, the real renounciate preachers should be *happy* about having no space in the temple! What for the temples are meant actually but for attracting the people to come and worship Radha-Krsna there? It's all about prestige, the power trip, to be in control of more square meters infront of the altar in certain 15 minutes of the day than "matajis"! Nothing to do with love of God. Haridas Thakur never wanted even to step in the temple, out of his great humility. He would pay obeisances to the Deities from the distance outside of the temple walls. Yet it didn't hamper neither his devotion to God nor his spiritual advancement. He was thinking that his entering the temple might be causing some social disturbance there, so he never tried. - Mahanidhi das
