It could > work differently for a while only if a man has feminine qualities, and > woman is a " real man " in the house. But that definitely can not last for Who is a real man in the age of Kali-yuga? Who is a real woman? I hope we all would be real persons, not trying to be something ideal--that will surely lead to frustration. I will do that what I can do best and what kind of qualities I have given, and my husband will do those things which he can do best. There is no question what is specially feminine and what is masculine.--He can also feel himself 'masculine' when trying to help and learn me to do 'feminine' duties. Surely it wouldn't last very long if I had to come home every day after a long day of reseach at university, after long travels with busses and trains, and begin to clean the house, wash the dishes and so on. > me and allows me to have a dominant role ( not in the sense of tyranny ), > but I had to earn that trust in her eyes. It's not that I was sitting, One don't have to 'earn' trust and respect. They should always be there, if you are her husband and a living entity. At least my husband don't have perform some special duties or play some dominant roles that I would appreciate what he has done for me. > disciples in service according to their capabilities, but he also never > advised them to not cook nicely, and to stop performing their housewife > duties, because, there lies the family happiness. So, my definite point The happiness is when we can be real persons, personal souls and serve Krsna in the way what is most natural for us. Please Krsna in doing that what we best can do. > is, please let's become serious, accept our positions as given according to > our past desires and serve Krsna without trying to become what we're not. > That would include to give up the false ego too. Please try to get rid of the bodily platform. Please try to see the world in the eyes of the soul. This is Kali-yuga not Satya-yuga. We are all different. We have all different talents and inclinations. I can and I will learn to do things which women are supposed to do, but it is not whole of my personality. I will not try to become a real woman, I have already understood who I am and what I can do best. Trying to become a good houseswife would mean I would try to become something what I am not, and everybody who know me, know it is true. Maybe I am handicapped in the eyes of some devotees, but I truly believe that not in the eyes of Krsna. I suppose there are much more dangerous and unfair things going on in the world than the fact that all women are not housewifes any more. That is a daring statement; do you think you can see the world in the eyes of the soul? I am personally still very much on the bodily platform, even if I am practicing a little KC. This is Kali-yuga not Satya-yuga. We are all > different. We have all different talents and inclinations. That is true, and I think it is essential that it is tolerated that people have different opinions about the roles of men and women. That is not "all one". Guest guest
This doesn't look like acar than pracar. Use of offensive words and we don't even know each other ? I am one of the lowest beings in this material world but in *my position* I really *HAVE TO* do that, otherwise I couldn't deal with other people and animals every day. Otherwise I couldn't have worked at every departments at hospital without becoming crazy.--To see birth, death, sicknesses and oldness every day learned and forced me to practice the philosophy of BG and opened my eyes.
