Srila Prabhupada did set up the GBC to approve/disapprove such issues on his behalf so if you don't know whether Krsna accepted his service, then you just have to go by the GBC. We can't assume that his service would be rejected. > I am fairly certain that Krsna would accept the revised gita as a service > performed by Jayadvaita Prabhu because it is a whole lot better than so many > other gita translations done by non-devotees and others. When Hayagriva was rendering the Gita in SERVICE to Srila Prabhupada, it was Srila Prabhupada's work not Hayagriva's. Hayagriva was trying to present Srila Prabhupada's Bhagavad-gita not his own. He used some of his own style and wording but it was still Prabhupada's Gita. We don't say it's Hayagriva's gita because he used his own wording. Jayadvaita Swami is not trying to write his own Gita (else this conversation would be trivial). He is trying to present the same Gita so if Krsna accepted his service of re-editing, it remains Prabhupada's Bhagavad-gita As It Is.
