Me neither. You should have heard all the things my own four (4) sons have

called me over the last 20 years when I asked them to do their homework or

clean their rooms, etc.! Though thanks, Jatu, for your thoughtfulness.

Actually it (the attacks) helps me to remind myself just how low I really am.

As much as anything else, I feel sorry for Virender Dayal because he is as

convinced as I was when I was a fanatic brahmacari in Brooklyn '73 that the

"leaders" were holding up there end of the bargain. Even though they were

doing things that were so obviously wrong (like offering chicken to the

Deities) many of us struggled incredibly with trying to justify everything

"for Krsna". Then Srila Prabhupada blasted us as fools for accepting the

unauthorized acts and policies of our GBC and saying we had to always take

responsibility for ourselves and others less fortunate around us.

Many left the movement disillusioned. I was fortunate to stay only because I

had made good, solid friends in the movement with senior devotees who helped

me see through the dirt and stay engaged in my gradual self-realization

duties. The Books became my dearest of all friends. To have them tampered with

by "leaders" without authorization only brings back very painful memories and

an almost sick-to-my-stomach feeling. The so-called "leaders" of ISKCON have

never had any "bedside" manners to deal with this type of thing and I don't

expect it anytime soon either. If they stay away from me and my original Srila

Prabhupada books, I'll stay away from them. They are all still bhaktas, as am

I, and I "love" them all, but I really don't LIKE them very much.

Your servant,

Bhakta Janesvara dasa
