defend NATO?

It appears that you have received one type of propaganda. From our end we

are told that Slobodan had already built up his forces in Kosovo to wipe out

the ethnic Albanians before the NATO bombing began. Everyday we see news

reports and all the refugees say that they are fleeing from Serb atrocities.

We dont see any saying they are fleeing from NATO bombing, except what

appears to be the propaganda of Milosovich. NATO says that although it is

indeed bombing Kosovo, and Serbia, it is only aiming for Milosovich's war

machine.

 

I would speculate that you are seeing the propaganda that Russia wants its

people to see, because they are traditionaly Serb allies. Some beleive that

Russia actualy wants a greater war, because a good war does wonders for ones

economy, and Russia is going down fast (so we are told). Plus if it goes to

war with NATO nations it would wipe out a lot of debt to the world Bank who

would become the enemy also, pretty neat huh?

 

Who knows? We learn from the story of King Priyavrata that the qualification

for a ruler is that he does not want to rule. But nowadays we see a great

scramble for power. Actualy the position of ruler is a thankless task as his

job is to protect all (the Lila of Lord Ramachandra is instructive in this).

But modern rulers do not take power for this purpose, no, they are only

interested in exploiting people for their own glory. So whether they are

this side or that, they are all rascals.

 

Karma has built up and the world needs some 'demon cleansing', so whoever

dies in combat or whatever, is only getting their Karma. As Prabhupada

clearly informs us, wars are the result of cow killing and sinful activity.

 

Interesting now that Russia is making veiled threats of third world war, its

right on schedule. I wonder if this will beat Y2K as the disaster of choice?
