A few years back I was intrigued also to find out that Bhaktivinoda Thakur has written a lot regarding accepting other religionists who are sincere. I remember well a very nice man named Father Norman, who was quite big in the church of England in Norwich, I think. You may remember that old BTG article in the mid 70's. I had the occaision to speak with him at the Manor once. He and his wife were in their 70's. He told me (I hope I remember correctly) that he used to pass the Radha Krishna Temple in Bury place, and one day got talking to a devotee outside. Very soon he started to preach from the Bhagavad Gita in his sermons in Norwich Cathedral. He became a vegetarian, and started chanting Hare Krishna. It was clear that he was a real devotee of the Lord, and that he recognised the eternal truth, as revealed in the Gita, which affirmed his faith in God. He did not see any problem remaining as a christian, and preaching from the Gita. After all, Gods Words are Gods Words. YS Samba das
