I feel you went a bit overboard when you wrote to Samba I didn't get the impression she was going off so directly on Samba, more like she was using his post as a launching pad for clearing some stuff off her own chest. This interchange is pretty much the crux of the problem I have taken the liberty of changing the heading from Introducing VAD to Finishing VAD. I believe we have already been introduced. Srila Prabhupada: My dear Western Devotees, please let me introduce you to VAD. VAD, here are the Western devotees, Western Devotees, this is VAD. Western Devotees: So nice to make your acquaintance. VAD: The pleasure is all mine. Could I offer you an ashram or two as gift? Also please take a varna. Western Devotees: How thoughtful of you, even though by birth I am unqualified to actually have such a thing. Srila Prabhupada: Oh my foolish devotees, please don't confuse VAD with her cousin, Caste System. Caste System would never even be caught dead in the same room with you. Western Devotees: Oh, I see. Well, then yes, I would be interested in sampling a little of what you have to offer. VAD: Excellent. I always enjoy offering opportunities to those aspiring to love Krishna, even if their material circumstances aren't so favorable based on their birth. Srila Prabhupada: Please accept these offerings, Western Devotees. I can vouch for VAD, and if you are pleased with these samples, I highly recommend that you that you develop a continuing relationship. Western Devotees. Hmmm, this Brahminical varna is a little strange to my western trained palate, but I actually feel some attraction. This Sannyasa thing is acctually quite attractive, atually I can hardly restrain myself from endulging... ooops! Now just see, in my hurry to try this out, I'm spilled some and made a mess. I'm so embarassed. VAD: No problem. Just please us the Brahmans to clean up the mess, and continue, no permanent harm will be done. That is the nice thing about the whole rest of the package, each part gives balance to another. Srila Prabhupada: Well, now that you two have meet, I've just gotten a page from Krsna, and have to hurry off to do some service elsewhere. Western DEvotees: But Srila Prabhupada, I am afraid I am too shy to progress in this relationship without you. Srila Prabhupada: Don't worry, I am leaving you a lot of instructions in my books, please read them. Western Devotees: But those are all descriptions of what happened in other yugas, when the Devotees lived much longer and were better qualified! Srila Prabhupada: Don't worry, all the general principles are there. Try to love Krsna and He will reveal to you how to apply them in this confused Kali Yuga ugra karmic world you are stuck in. Bye for now. I will always be thinking of you, please don't forget me. Hari Bol. Western Devotees: Hari Bol , Srila Prabhupada, I will miss you. (awkward silence) Western Devotees: Well, gee, shucks, Miss VAD, I guess I will take my Brahmanas and Sannyasis back to my place and try to understand the. VAD: Well ,if that 's what you want. I'll be waiting for you with the rest of the varnas and ashrams. But don't wait too long. Without protection of cows, brahminical culture cannot be maintained; and without brahminical culture, the aim of life cannot be fulfilled. Cow protection means feeding the brahminical culture, which leads towards God consciousness, and thus perfection of human civilization is achieved. Western Devotees: That sounds good, but I think that this is enough for me for now. VAD: Okay, do as you like. Let me know when you are interested in more. Hari Bol. Western Devotees: Hari Bol.
