I am under the impression having a siksa relationship with a sadhu does not

require his/her physical presence. It would seem possible for someone have a

siksa relationship with a personality like Srimate Tulsi devi, even though she

apparently is not an official member of ISKCON.

 

And then there is the 11th Canto (I believe) example offered by M. Gosh along

the lines of Pingali being accepted as a guru, what to speak of the elephants,

etc.

 

I could be wrong, but I don't think you have to formally label someone as your

'guru' in order to have a dynamic siksa relationship with them.
