It has been shown that more often than not, most disciples will not get

extensive direct physical association, or vapuh, with their guru maharaja.

Similarly, extensive vapuh does not gaurentee devotional strenght, as we have

seen all too often in the case of Srila Prabhupada and his disciples, as well

as the case of Lord Caitanya and his servant who experienced difficulties with

the gypsies.

I am not arguing against vapuh, but against a possible overly sentimental

attitude towards the guru/disciple relationship. Neither do I claim to have

full experience in such things.
