Guest guest
Great job, nicely backed up with proper quotes, to the point, no hard feelings, sharp and lucid. Thanks. This is the kind of material that is needed. I think a lot of the ritvikconfusion comes with a mixture of dissapointment with ISKCON-representatives and a lack of clear philosophical explanations, like this one. If a devotee is "burned" (once burned, twice shy) there is a tendency to jump somewhere with ventilation for your hard feelings ( In this case the ritvik-camp.) I don´t think the lot of these devotees are hardcore deviants. Many times when frustrations hit your devoteelife you are faced with a "wall" amongst those who were supposed to be your family and your friends and you are forced to go somewhere else to share your bread. So please try and understand that socalled "deviants" are not always so, because they very much choose to, but because they are pushed out socially. If ISKCON would be some small percentage more friendly, polite, warm, understanding, tolerant and self-ironic, ( kinda human), you name it, we could go a L O N G way, without these schisms. And with input like this from Vidvan Gauranga prabhu - only the sky is the limit. Your servant Trayimaya dasa PS: I put varnasram conference as co-reciever since we just had a similar traffic(jam) there.
