The training according to the psychological movement of a boy is done in his childhood. The kids of a sudra nature do not even stay in gurukula, but get the profession naturally from a father. Some end with age 12 (I am not sure if it refers to boys of a particular varna). A brahminical boy stays till the end. Then, when he is fully trained, he gets married (up to his 25), and then he goes executing his varna-asrama prescribed duties, till his 50-es when he takes the next asrama status. Or, in rare circumstances, he doesn't enter grhasta asram but he decides to remain a renounciate, a brahmacari. I joined the movement when 26, burned out with the life till my bones. Now you tell me all about 5-year Dhruva Maharaja having already been trained in the ksatriya spirit by his gurus. The quotes of a kind that you have provided do exist, indeed. But the next step is to know what to do with them, where and how to apply them. To expect from Vaisnava gurus (in ISCKON, or elsewhere) to behave like guru-kula gurus in nowadays given circumstances, might not be that much reasonable. ys mnd
