Many women cannot saw, cook and clean. Some can not have children, and yet others are not nurturing towards infants. > Another is beauty. Too bad only a few women are beautiful, most are quite "common" looking, and a majority looses whatever beauty they had as young, when they become older. I agree with Hare Krsna dasi, that the problem is that how women are seen as inferior to men. That men take that as they are superior by definition, and that it increases bodily identification for both groups. This "superiority" is today taken to absurd levels, with many very able women endlessly have to fight for their rightful position and function in socity. It appears that you are man or women first, and a person just second. Remember that in Varnasrama you get position, and respect, in society according to your qualitites and learning, not according to birth. I would say that applies to women also. > Yes, but certain bodily functions of my male body just don't work when I > try to look at a woman as a physical partner and then call her Mother! :-) > It doesn't mean I don't respect her. Isn't that just the point? :-) ys Prisni
