We were born mlecchas, non-brahmanas and non-devotees, and therefore we will always remain as such, and nothing can change us into that. Fortunately we are in the movement created by Srila Prabhupada, and he put the guidelines into ISKCON, to avoid such misconceptions. Srila Prabhhupada says that birth is not important. If someone is born into a sudra family, he can still me a brahmana. It is based on qualification and nature, not birth. And if you look deep into the folio, you will find that Srila Prabhupada had nothing about persons changing sex either.
