Guest guest
There are many important issues that you bring up, but I fear that all discussion will be a waste of time unless we have sufficient respect for not only the subject (ie, proposing a dog as high-class association makes it a joke) but also for the participants. I don't know how I have caused you to feel condescended upon ("Treat us as grown-ups, Prabhu."), but I would suggest that you might be wearing some chips on your shoulders in this regard. Otherwise, kindly inform me how I have offended your dignity. Regarding some of your points: On 21 Jun 1999, Mahanidhi das wrote: > Tell all this to HH Narayana Maharaja and his followers. So that they may open the bunker-like doors of their "Kremlin" to ISCKON advanced devotees and preachers, as well as to any other Vaisnava from anywhere else. Let NM stop restricting both siksa and diksa in his Math for himself. Let him share it all with any other dvanced Vaisnava that happens to walk in. Once I see this "universal principle" that you are talking about practiced in his Math (or in some other Vaisnava instituition, for that matter) then I will trust both to him and you in this regard. First of all, as a matter of principle, unless you can supply personal experience or concrete instances for your above contentions, I must conclude you are a) in content, repeating hearsay and b) in purport, slandering vastly senior Vaisnavas. Secondly, I am not part of any group-think. I do not represent Narayan Maharaja nor any of his followers. Indeed, I never mentioned anyone by name (you brought NM up). It is highly presumptuous of you to predicate arguments or supply examples that I have not offered. Your uncalled for irritation (which seems to come out of the blue) indicates that you have unresolved problems which you feel compelled to vent. But I would caution you, since you have brought up Narayan Maharaja in an impertinent and reckless manner, that you are not dealing with any ordinary "Joe" to mock and target as an object for your foolish (remember, your dog example?) and cynical remarks. The consequences of slandering a saint (sadhu-ninda) are grave. It is a great offense to call an honest man a thief. >From my own experience and observation, I can confidently state that you don't know WHO or WHAT you are talking about. Please be careful. For someone as yourself who made the grave error of mistaking and accepting a NON bona fide guru for a spiritual mater, you display a decided lack of humility, remorse and introspection. To the contrary, when truly qualified Vaisnavas are suggested (but not named) for your consideration, you proceed to slander and deride them. This is verily a great misfortune, and it is not within my persuasive power or *adhikara* to turn your mind otherwise unless you are genuinely inquisitive about making spiritual progress and discussing guru-tattva in earnest. If you wish to continue making everything a big joke and another excuse to exercise your great wit (which you certainly possess a considerable amount of), then you are certainly free to do as you like. That is your choice. But I will refrain from engaging further in an atmosphere that is surcharged with suspicion and enmity. > Once I see this "universal principle" that you are talking about practiced in his Math (or in some other Vaisnava instituition, for that matter) then I will trust both to him and you in this regard. There are qualifications of both the *trustworthy* and for the *trusting* alike. I respectfully suggest that the "trusting" capacity within your self is defective or damaged due to previous impious samskaras and bad experiences in this lifetime. Similar to a corrupted hard-disk drive, let's say: don't blame the "via" medium [the program/sadhu); the problem lies within the computer/perceiver itself.
