and

I love the guru-sadhu-sastra principle ...

The guru/sadhu is confirmed only by sastra, and sastra is understood

only through the guru's/sadhu's mercy.

1) Sastra-pramana (Svetasvatara Upanisad 6.23):

yasya deve para bhaktir yasya deve tatha gurau /

tasyaite kathita hy arthah prakasante mahatmanah //

"Only unto those great souls who have implicit faith in both the

Lord and THE SPIRITUAL MASTER are all the imports of Vedic knowledge

automatically revealed."

2) Sadhu-pramana (Sri Gurv-astaka):

yasya prasadad bhagavat-prasado

yasyaprasadan na gatih kuto 'pi /

dhyayan stuvams tasya yasas tri-sandhyam

vande guroh sri-caranaravindam //
