Guest guest
PAMHO AGTSP Thank you for your answer and interesting article. My understanding/interpretation is that because shastra being Krishna's words it is infalible, for Guru and Sadhu (jiva tattva) we have the proof/experience already in Iskcon. Still, when the scriptures are missiterpreted or Parampara is broken the LORD comes Himself or sends a pure Sadhu to speak and demonstrate. A problem with G-G-G might be on the part of the blind followers or if the Guru acts merely on the strenght of his possition not on the strenght of his realization. > I wouldn't agree that we are not capable of making such arrangements. The > continuation of ISKCON depends on such arrangements. Otherwise, it will > be lost to deviation borne of endless speculation--all on the basis of > "Srila Prabhupada said. . ."! My point here was that it is immposible for a religious/social/humanist society to practically arrange for all the various bonafide life styles that may result from an idea or scripture, assistance and guidence YES. Because we saw what happened with the Communist CENTRALIST system and we hear many voices against a Centralist New World Order. Krishna is the center of our lives but I beleave He is rather Liberal not totalitarian. We should beware of dog-matic "absulute truth" arrangements in the name of GOD. We see from Iskcon's history after Prabhupada that there is a shift from ecxessive authrity to lossing authority. That is a result of a natural quest. I don't intend to suggest we measure mathematically half the way between the poles and find the solution. Still, most devotees will find it more confortable and progressive to live somewhere in the middle, in goodness. Acintya Bheda Bheda is an open minded concept that is sometimes mind blasting.
