Guest guest
Dear respected devotees, please accept my humble obeisances. Though this forum is dedicated to Varnasrama development, there seems to be an equal amount of talk about the guru issue and the issue of changing Srila Prabhupada's books, etc. This is due probably because of the immense interest in and importance of these issues, and, as far as I can see, there is not a single forum on COM where a devotee can elaborate on his understanding of the philosophy of Krsna Consciousness. Most go to Krsna Katha, which wasn't created for that reason but for sharing pastimes. The only other place is a forum to ask Jayapataka Swamiji questions about the philosophy and he answers them. So even there one cannot really just write his realizations about certain questions. Maybe I am not looking hard enough or maybe the space has not been provided, but I would like to hear if others have found this to be the case. So if one wants to share THIER realizations about the basic philosophy, it seems one must pick a forum that might be compatible, but not for that particular purpose. With all that said, I would like to share in the following posts a few thoughts on this idea of Srila Prabhupada making mistakes, or being under the influence of his college background, or his alleged sexist comments that need to be removed ASAP, etc. I am offering these in a humble attempt to counter some of the ideas that are coming from VAST and other scholarly bodies. With all due respect for the devotees, Mahananda dasa
