Guest guest
Dear Sraddha Didi, I am truly sorry if I have offended you or disturbed your faith. Faith is a very delicate and necessary commodity to advance in spiritual life. Thank you for reminding me to be more sensitive. These are touchy issues, especially since so much confusion abounds. However, since Harikesa Maharaja has fallen from sannyasa and his post as acting Acarya, it is also necessary to be frank about his present condition. Not to say that Harikesa Prabhu is not an advanced soul. But his tenure of "advancement" is in a state of limbo. As bonafide disciples, it behooves you to take shelter of genuinely advanced souls for proper guidance during this difficult period. This "taking shelter" has little to do with any institutional rigamarole ("complex rules and rituals"). To dismiss HKS's changed situation as not out of the ordinary is simply naive and foolish, frankly speaking. It is an emergency! If you cannot accept this fact, then there is hardly anything more I can say to you beyond this except, "Please forgive me for disturbing your faith. Hare Krsna." If you are actually inquisitive, however, I will try address your points as tactfully but as truthfully as I can. You wrote on 07 Jul 1999 (in response to me): > > The facts should be known that Harikesa Maharaja was responsible for > > offending exalted souls like Srila BR Sridhara Maharaja and Narayan > > Maharaja as well as inducing his disciples to do likewise. I had personal experience of this while in HKS zone. At least in part, HKS fell down by the reaction of sadhu-ninda from his own disciples against Gaudiya saints. > How do you know this? I have been in his zone last 16 years and I didn't have such an experience. I think you must be unaware of the history. Most of the "fratricidal cleansing" (deposing of godbrothers) and offenses happened before your time (pre-1987). If you talk to Vegavan Prabhu there in Sweden, that should be a story sufficent in itself, what to speak of the other godbrothers deposed just in Sweden alone. Germany was an even larger "Daksa's arena" of offense. Hungary was another disaster. The list goes on. During this time (pre-1987), besides disenfranchising most of the godbrothers, HKS committed grave offenses at the lotus feet of Srila BR Sridhara Maharaja. I think the stories of the broken hearts of so many of his disciples will also remain unsung. > Giving a dog bad name and then hanging him is not exactly what sadhus are supposed to do. I am sorry, but this corresponds precisely to the modus operandi and offenses HKS committed. More recently, HKS made a public statement (before 2000+ devotees in Mayapur?) that Narayan Maharaja was a "sahajiya." Then witness the sahajiya nonsense HKS was forced to utter as a reaction during his madness (eg. about his mistress being "Radharani," etc.). Don't think the two are unrelated. Nothing happens to a devotee by "chance." I am not trying to drag out the dirt, but you must know that your SM is in a fallen condition, at least in part due to his grave offenses to his godbrothers and senior Vaisnavas of the Gaudiya Math. > Regarding the principles of ANIMALISM I would humble recomend to you to read the book Animal farm from George Orwell. He is very nicely explaining how this principles are working in an institution, regarding politics, twisting the truth and exploiting the inocent and fullish. Your guru maharaja played an instrumental part in the LEADERSHIP of the bureaucracy, politics and exploitation of that institution (ISKCON). That he now speaks so strongly against it but shows NO REMORSE FOR HIS OWN PART IN IT indicates he is self-deluded. This is the hard fact of the matter. Let us hear his sincere regrets for his past misdeeds, and I will offer my most humble dandavats before him and my embarrassed apologies to everyone. Until then, I pay my respects at a distance. Please forgive me for any offenses. Sincerely, Srila dasa
