Ananta Vasudeva, who was the right hand man of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura, lost faith in BSST that he was bona fide. But that had nothing to do with the guru, but everything with himself. This is a silly argument. > >> Let's graft > >> the ISKCON branch back onto the Gaudiya tree before it falls away > >> completely > > our sampradaya *is* gaudiya samparadaya. we are not disconnected. ISKCON is definitely a branch of the Caitanya tree as described in Adi-lila. Prabhupada never stated that ISKCON will get disconnected if we don't associate with his Godbrothers, etc. Rather he stated that if we continue trying to fulfill his mission, which is actually the very mission of BSST and BVT and Rupa Goswami, we will certainly go back to Godhead and help others do the same. Regarding "Society consciousness": In the Lilamrita, there is an incident where Prabhupada met (I think) CR Rajagopalachari in South Indian who asked him why his disciples are focusing so much on the institution ISKCON and Prabhupada himself stated that because ISKCON was Krsna's institution, thinking of ISKCON is equivalent to thinking of Krsna. In his Tenth Canto commentary, Prabhupada reveals that ISKCON is a manifestation of Lord Krsna Himself. Regarding Mother Madhusudani's point: Part of that mission is to properly take care of devotees who have approached Prabhupada for shelter. If we don't take care of them properly, then Prabhupada will obviously be very displeased with us. YHS VGD
