At least Prabhu was not offering an unsupported opinion. > I found nothing offensive either. That you found nothing wrong, is your personal perception. Srila Prabhupada did not object that young lady to get re-married. He mainly suggested that it is better transcend the material energy. That the material solutions to our needs for protection are not guaranteed. So, Ameyatma takes that and "nails it on the wall" -- it is a shame for a young lady that happens to stay husbandless and childless to look for the material solution of her problems, the need for protection. She shouldn't do it. But the same Ameyatma is known as a vigorous proponent of a polygamy as the solution for the young ladies that might happen to stay unmarried. No question of replacing the material solutions for transcendental, like in the case of former. This is what I find interesting. I don't say it is offensive or wrong. Just interesting. Or to say so, "Just see". > Furthermore, he has not said ANYTHING in his text about polygamy. Why, > then, have you brought it up? > Why not? Is it a taboo? Or maybe some confidential topic? What? Ameyatma brought up 2 points: Dharma and Chastity. Quite a wide topic. Can be elaborated and expanded. It is so usual and normal for these public discussion to get other points coming up. Why are you so surprised? - mnd > P.S. Please remove DMW from your future texts. It is up to the organizer of the particular conference to do his job, to remove those texts that he finds offensive or unsuitable for the conference. I suppose you must be that organizer. Are you? So, in that case, if you have concluded that all the future texts coming from me will be unsuitable for DMW (regardless of their content), then don't expect from me to be filtering myself out. YOU do such a funny thing. Don't go making me to become prejudicious toward my own self, for your account. Myself, I am never adding DMW as the receiver. It was Ameyatma who had his text sent to both conferences. You do the same (just like now). So don't get on the case of the people if their comments get back. ..
