Gurukula - Cause research of its failure acording to VAD

I think Jitakrodha Prabhu describes here very good what may have been the

failures of ISKCON.s schools called "Gurukula". I really wonder why this

term was introduced in the first place to ISKCON,s schools. Where they

really "Gurukula,s, the school of the guru, in the vedic traditional sence

or where they something else? A privat school to teach Prabhupadas

teachings, to the youth. Where the teachers (gurus) really gurus who where

instructing theyr disciples there in this ashram schools?

What where Prabhupadas motivations by starting this kind of schools for his

disciples? What whas the modell for this kind of schools?

 

Were this schools run by professionals who knew the art of teaching and

where talented to work with children? How where this schools superwised,

what was theyr structure of autority and control? How it comes that for so

long time abuses remaind undiscovered? Why did the children endured this for

so long without saying anything? What atmosphere was in this schools which

promoted the abuse and illtreatment of some children?

 

I never went to some of this gurukulas so I can just wonder and send my

questions in outer space in the hope I my get some answers from you, which

may satisfy my sad mind.

I feel very sorry for this poor kids and send you my heartfelt greetings and

whishes for a better and happy future.

 

Where they victims of a wrong philosophy or its wrong application? Or of too

much idealism and faith in Krsna as the controler of everything, including

what was going on in this schools? A wrong understanding of karma as a law

which controls everything and one cannot do anything about it, in order to

stopp it - just endure it and surrender to Krsna?
