Guest guest
>>Our point is not to discourage those who are properly active in gurukula >>services, rather we are disturbed because there are still so-called holy >>men on the vyasasana who were never brought to justice for their criminal >>activities. Dear Mother Madanalasa, seems like you hit the root. Let us keep on working to this direction. It is an absurdity that people, who are obviously non-absolute, non-transcendent, by their activities as well as by their characteristics, are placed into an absolute position. A saintly Vaishnava is a self-evident authority. A pretender will come down from his trip. Even more absurd it is, when people follow these leaders, without utilizing their God-given brain, letting the clear contents of Srila Prabhupada's teaching fly high through their consciousness without grasping the point - something's dead wrong with people claiming to represent Srila Prabhupada, as they speak the water but drink the wine. As for the argument - why is someone criticized for something he did way back in the past- we may refer to the story of Lord Baladeva and Romaharsana Suta from Srimad Bhagavatam. As long as he exhibited the characteristics of a saintly person, devoid of pride, no-one considered his birth in a pratiloma-family. Nevertheless, as soon as he became falsely proud of himself, he was dragged down from the asana, and all of his past was considered. The pride and fall of Romaharsana Suta. For it is the law of karma only in action, as a person descends to the mundane plane, into the realm of worthless criticism, fault-finding without any purpose. How far we are from how things ought to be. Let us work for the better future. ys, ekatma das.
