Guest guest
Jahnu prabhu suggested to me that before critizing the childabuse in ISKCON gurukulas I myself should tell the readers on this forum of my own abuse of my now 17 yr. old son Acintya. So: I occasionally hit him(*) and we have even been fighting. I am sorry for this and we have talked about it quite some times. We have reached agreement and we know that none of us are without fault. So again, Acintya, please accept my humble excuses. I´ll pay in the hell of fathers beating their sons. This being done, I still think that the hell that was imposed on some gurukulis in the past is a heavy, heavy chain on the ankles of the abused and on the preaching-spirit in ISKCON. I understand the pain of realizing this. The tendency is to ignore the problem and minimize it. But if you ask the abused children and young ones AND the parents they will tell you that this is the biggest problem. If you ask them why they don´t just forget everything and go out and preach, then you will understand that this is why. (*) I never practised this before joining. ys.
