My physiology professor, Dr John Yates, said that the brains' size can be

medically demonstrated to be related to the size of the body it is in. Much

of the brains volume regulates the automatic functions in a body such as

tension of blood vessels, absorption of nutients, etc.etc. More cells in a

larger body require more brain cells to govern them. The larger size does not

indicate increased intelligence however. Otherwise animals larger than

humans with bigger brains would have superior intellectual ability to humans,

and all 6'4" men would be more intelligent than all 5' 11' men. This, of

course, is not the case. It should be noted that gender does not affect the

size. A 6' man will have a larger brain than a 5' 10" women. However a 5'10"

woman will have a larger brain than a 5'7" man. In neither case of mans or

womans brain having more volume does that larger size indicate ones mental

abilities are greater.

I also remember reading something (by Sadaputa Prabhu, I believe) saying that

the information Srila Prabhupada quoted about the differing ounces between

male and female brains was the understanding of the teachers in the Scottish

College Prabhupada attended.
