You may take it as such--that is your prerogative as a free spirit. But I

take Srila Prabhupada's own statements--for example, that every word in his

books was chosen very carefully because "It is document," and that Krsna

would personally come and dictate purports to him, etc.--as the highest

truth. On that basis, when Srila Prabhupada says, "However great a woman may

be, she must be ready to carry out her husband's orders and please him in

all circumstances. Then her life will be successful" I take that as perfect

instruction for the kala-patra-desa in which we now happen to live.

 

I don't mind if others may take me to be a brainwashed cult member because I

believe wholly and solely in such statements as the above. They can go to

hell... or heaven!--as the case may be--and I may go wherever my blind faith

in such statements will take me.
