I know that Krsna guides you to the spiritual master and the spiritual

master guides you to Krsna,s lotus feets.

In each cases surender is the key of succes, but surrender in full knowledge

I think.

> The real point is this saying that in glorifying Srila Prabhupada that we

The real point in this discussion was:

"Such a ksatriya sets his sights on Prabhupada's example of a perfect

manager: not one cent wasted or spent frivolously, nor hoarded for sense

gratification. Stress has to be laid, not on economics courses which may

side-track into alternative occupations, e.g. accountancy, but on

following Srila Prabhupada."

Now in my opinion this view could well be understood as some kind of

personality cult. Of course with Srila Prabhupada we have an outstanding

personality who could for certain give the example for a perfect ksatriya

manager.

But he himself studied economics and other managerial things, and was for

long time a very succesfull buisenessman and manager, thus acumulated a lot

of experience in the art of management and dealing with diferent kind of

people and situations, wich he later used in Krsnas service in his ISKCON

society.

Bhaktivinod Thakor could also give a good example since he was a ksatrya I

think, governor or so. But also he I think learnd something about his

profesion or not?

Or let us say that Gaurakisora das Bhabaji would have started ISKCON, so he

was by material understandings iliterate I think and could not read, so

would that mean that all his followors should have followed his example and

remain iliterates, thats ridiculious I think.

I hope you understand what I wanted to say.

I think the spiritual master sets the spiritual example not necesarily also

the material one. Of course Prabhupada was exceptional, that I must admit,

but other spiritual masters may not be so.

> I don't know where you are coming from.

I am also not so important, what I try to understand is the right

understanding of certain things in regard to our philosophy and status quo.

> I never have had that realization in my 30 years of trying to glorify His

> Divine Grace.

Glorifying the spiritual master by his disciple is one thing, to try to

establish a certain policy in regard to ksatrya behaviour another thing, I

guess.

"If this is what the vaisyas desire, they will demand it of their leader,

they will not accept less. Motives of an prospective leader have to be

scrupulously analyzed: does he have as no.1 priority, pleasing Srila

Prabhupada by following his instructions and the example he set?

Like I saed Prabhupada was exceptional in all maters but other may not be.

So can one make therefore a rule that the disciple must follow the spiritual

master in all maters including the so caled material ones.

In some cases it could well be so that the disciple develops a greater

understanding of certain material affairs due to his learning and studies.

Why condemn "economic courses" or other managerial stidies and just follow

what Prabhupada saed or did.

That is my point.
