Stable Marriage or a Stepford Wife?

this is true.

 

no point blaming women lib walas at this point although they are wrong in

almost all their arguments (I am using the word "almost" just out of

etiquette because I haven't heard all their arguments). the point is they

are there due to no proper training by more intelligent class, i.e. men.

and that also not all men but the intelligent class, i.e. the brahmanas who

became corrupt as kaliyuga advanced.

 

so although i don't agree at all with the so called women lib for all good

reasons, i would again say that blaming them will not help but ony aggravate

the situation and agitate their already weak minds. the question "who is

more responsible for it, men or women?" is a question similar to asking how

we came into the material world---- just get out of it first.

 

that's why Srila Prabhupada emphasized on creating brahmanas rather than

spending time in defeating women lib arguments. if we can show by our own

example how to act as husbands and men then naturally the women / wives,

being subordinate by nature, will follow.

 

for a stable and Krishna conscious marriage, the husband has to take more

responsibility for their spiritual advancement. if he ends up finding

faults in his wife for being non-Krishna conscious, non-submissive, etc.

then he is not very intelligent for having married such a wife. Better is

he prepares himself first how to deal with a worst wife before dreaming of a

vedic wife and marrying one imagining her to be fully vedic. After all we

get what we deserve, so where is the question of blaming wives and hushands

and divorce?

 

the conclusion is, Krishna consciousness is the only and only solution to

all our problems and it's essential to take it up 100% as taught by Srila

Prabhupada without any so called modern and "thoughtful" introduction if we

are looking forward to finding a permanent solution. If not, punah punah

carvita carvananam...the doors to material world are open for those who want

to get in, and for those who want to go back to Godhead, Srila Prabhupada

has come to take them. Choice is ours.

 

We have to keep in mind that Srila Prabhupad has given us the cream of all

vedic scriptures.
