TRANSLATION

Alas, my sister! Alas, my brother-in-law! I am indeed so sinful that exactly

like a man-eater [Raksasa] who eats his own child, I have killed so many

sons born of you.

PURPORT

Raksasas are understood to be accustomed to eating their own sons, as snakes

and many other animals sometimes do. At the present moment in Kali-yuga,

Raksasa fathers and mothers are killing their own children in the womb, and

some are even eating the fetus with great relish. Thus the so-called

civilization is gradually advancing by producing Raksasas.

At the end there will be no foodgrains, at the end of Kali-yuga. That is

stated in the Srimad-Bhagavatam. There will be no foodgrain, no fruits, no

milk, no sugar. You have to live on flesh and blood. At that time, being

hungry, you will kill your own children and eat flesh and blood.

Now you have got food in chaos, but there will be no food also. Then the

mother and father will eat his own children. This is world, this Kali-yuga,

everything.

It is the beginning of Kali. Now we have to pass through 427,000's of years.

Kali-yuga will make progress in that way. And people are now practicing

eating their children, and at the end of Kali there will be no food

available. They'll have to eat the children just like the snakes do.

Krsna-Kanti: As the Kali-yuga advances, the human beings will eat their

children too. Srila Prabhupada?

Prabhupada: Yes, yes. Just like in the last war, they ate stool, their own

stool, out of hunger. So when there will be no foodstuff, they will kill

their own children.

No milk, no food grains, no fruits, no whatever. Especially food grains.
