husband and wife having the same spiritual master or not.

Dear Prabhus,

 

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. All

glories to his disciples.

 

I've heard different opinions: some spiritual masters in ISKCON say that it

does not matter if the husband's spiritual master is different from the

wife's spiritual master. Other gurus recommend the couple to have the same

spiritual master.

 

I understand that, in a Krsna conscious couple, the husband acts as the

spiritual master of the wife. It follows that the husband's spiritual master

is also the wife's spiritual master.

 

However, we see many couples in ISKCON operating efficiently while the

husband and wives' spiritual masters are different.

 

In the times of Srila Prabhupada's manifest pastimes, this issue did not

have relevance. It does today, however.
