Yes, the external method, described in Dhyancandra Goswami's and other Paddhatis (as well as Jaiva-dharma) is the method of Siddha-pranali, practiced at Radha-kunda. But Raghunatha Dasa Gosvami definitely also followed and wrote about Raganuga path, albeit manifested in a more natural, easy and sponteneous way, through the proper practice of sravanam kirtanam.
